Wilma Evon Hickman, 98, of Covington died at 12:00 A. M. Sunday March 8, 2015 at the Waters of Covington.
She was born September 22, 1916 at Veedersburg, IN the daughter of Perry and Iona (Griffin) Lucas.
A life resident of Covington, she was a 1934 graduate of Covington High School. Her employment was Covington Food Lockers and a seamstress many years at Covington Manufacturing and Medline. Her memberships include Maranatha Baptist Church and Royal Neighbors of America. She and her husband enjoyed many years wintering in Florida.
Wilma married Virgil E. Hickman October 31, 1936 at Danville, IN and he died July 20, 2004.
Surviving is a daughter Joyce Reed of West Liberty, IA; a son Donald (Elizabeth) Hickman of The Villages, FL; four grandchildren, Dawn Vinkavich, Jeffrey Reed, Malinda White, and Scott Hickman. In addition, surviving are seven great grandchildren, Marcella Westmoreland, Johnathon Vinkavich, Grant Vinkavich, Reno Reed, Jacob White, Joshua White, and Dylan Hickman; a great grandson Wesley Alexander Vinkavich; a special niece, Connie Cunningham and several nieces. Her parents, husband, two sisters, two brothers and son-in-law preceded her in death.
