Vera Louise Wilson, 94 died at 5:45 a. m. Wednesday October 3, 2012 at the Waters of Covington following an extended illness. She was born at Foster April 6, 1918 the daughter of Ernest A. and Iva T. (Gouty) Moudy.
She was a life resident of Covington and a 1936 graduate of Covington High School. Her memberships were Benson Chapel United Methodist Church, Covington Bowling League Hall of Fame, Mound Kent Pansies Home Economics Club, and a former member of Tri Kappa. She was a bookkeeper at Foster Grain, Gessie and Covington elevators for many years retiring in 1983.
Vera married Thomas Woodrow Wilson April 27, 1940 and he died November 27, 1965. Surviving is a daughter Judith L. (Bruce G.) Gee of Covington, a son Thomas Michael (Jane) Wilson of Perrysville; 4 grandchildren, Todd (Marla) Gee, Tim (Laura) Gee, Rebecca (Rob Jones) Stevens, and Cinda (Alan) Morrison; 8 great grandchildren, Cody, Bryce, Natalie, Katie, Ryleigh, Justin, Chelsea, and Derek; several special nieces and nephews. Her parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and a daughter-in-law preceded her in death.
Visitation will be Noon until time of services at 2:00 p. m. EDT Friday October 5, 2012 at Shelby Funeral Home with Dr. William Nickle officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
