Vera M. Gallivan, 82, of rural Kingman, IN died Wednesday October 21 ,2020 at the Waters of Covington, where she had resided recently. She was born June 27, 1938 at Glasgow, KY the daughter of Roscoe P. and Mamie Jane (Clark) Walker.
She moved to Kingman IN in 2000 from Freeport, IL and formerly lived at Memphis, TN. She had been employed at Microswitch in Freeport and Louver Drapes in Memphis. She had been employed by Indiana State Highway Department as a custodian at the rest areas on I-74 in recent years.
Surviving are four children, Sandy Lewis and husband Raymond of Okeechobee, FL; Connie Casselman and husband Dan of Monroe, WI; Ernest Hampton and wife Chris of South Haven, MS; and Rodney Hampton of Kingman, IN; a brother Wesley Walker of Florida, eleven grandchildren, Travis, Heather, Dana, Jenny, Shane, Jason, Rachel, Greg, Troy, Amanda, and Morgan; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband John Gallivan, daughter Donna Alba, three brothers, Albert “Bud” Walker, Paul Walker, and Roscoe Walker, four sisters, Thelma Mason, Elizabeth Hughes, Judy Coddington, and Kathleen O’Brien preceded her in death.
