Trina Mae Goodrich, 63, of Covington, IN died at 9:03 P. M. Friday January 14, 2202 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL having been serious ill two weeks. She was born September 4, 1958 at Danville, IL the daughter of Selby and Gayle (Llewellyn) Bord.
Trina was a 1976 graduate of Covington High School, lived in Abilene, Tx for several years and returned to Covington in 1998. She was a member of Second Church of Christ, Danville and had been employed at Pilot on SR 63 for ten years.
Trina married Bruce Allen Goodrich on December 17, 1977 at Pleasant Grove Church, Danville, IL, and he survives. Also surviving is a son Corey (Kimberlee) Goodrich of West Lafayette, IN; two daughter, Alicia (Steve) Williams of Terre Haute, IN; and Emily (Cody) Myers of Kingman, ten grandchildren, Tanner, Krystina, Bryson, Kendal, Madyson, Brody, Kaitlyn, Lucas, Ainsley, and Gatlin. Three siblings also survive, Sherri (Phillip) Parrish of Metamora; IL; Kelly (Daria) Bord of Eaton Rapids, MI; and Selby (Terri) Bord of Demotte, IN. Her parents and brother Kevin Bord preceded her in death.
Trina had such a bubbly perky spirit about her. She truly didn’t know a stranger and would hug just about anyone! She had a compliment and tried to put a smile on anyone's face she came into contact with. Bruce and Trina have thoroughly enjoyed raising their children and watching their grandchildren grow up at Trina’s childhood home. Fishing along the Wabash with Bruce and all her grbabes was always a highlight. Big cookouts and bonfires with her friends and family were always happening! Just being able to spend time with her family, especially her kids and grandchildren was the absolute joy of her life.
When not working, Trina and Bruce enjoyed having a cup of coffee together, dancing, traveling to Cocoa Beach Florida, and cruising the seas to different countries. Among so many other things they were very much looking forward to the season of retirement together. Being married 44 years they found joy in just spending their days together. She will be missed by so many and we are comforted in knowing she’s dancing with Jesus and the ones that were taken too soon before her.
