Sandra Lou "Sandy" Holland

Sandra Lou Sandy Holland, 68, of Covington died at 12:03 A. M. Thursday August 20, 2015 at St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital emergency room. She was born March 9, 1947 at Crawfordsville the daughter of Marvin Bud and Loraine (Haniford) Gayler.

Sandy grew up on a farm north of Covington, graduated from Covington High School in 1965, resided in Williamsport 1977 to 2007 when they moved back to Covington. Her employment included Fountain Trust Company and the Review Republican.

She was a member of Sterling Christian Church, Warren County Homemakers, and Investment Club.

Sandy was an avid reader. She enjoyed her flower gardens and coy fish and ponds. She had wonderful memories from the trips she and Terry took to Hawaii with the Coffings and Hunts. Mostly, she loved spending time with her friends, sisters, and family, especially her precious grandchildren.

Sandy married Terry Holland May 7, 1966 at Covington and he survives. Also surviving three sons, Bill (Keena) Holland of Covington, Mike (Maribeth) Holland of Williamsport, Nicholas Holland of Covington; a brother Gary (Judy) Gayler of Covington, three sisters, Linda (Gary) Miller of Williamsport, Vicki (Randy) Hollis of Veedersburg, Tammy Nickle of Covington; four grandchildren, Drew, Therin, Christian and Tatum Holland, and many loved nieces and nephews. Her parents, a grandson and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Maurice and Alberta Holland preceded her in death.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 P. M. Sunday at Sterling Christian Church. Funeral services will be at 2:30 P. M Monday August 24, 2015 at the church with Gary Johnson officiating. Cremation after the services with burial at a later date in Mount Hope Cemetery.
