Russell Warren Bush

Russell Warren Bush, 90 of Perrysville died at 1:00 P. M. Sunday December 13, 2020 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana  He was born March 24, 1930  at Silverwood, IN the son of Charles and Zula (Trosper) Bush.

Russell grew up in Silverwood and graduated from Tangier High School in 1949. He moved to Perrysville in 1954 when he married Gladys, the love of his life. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Midway from 1950 to 1954. He was employed at Olin for 16 years and Teepak 21years, retiring in 1992.  Russ was a 50 year member of Unity Lodge #344 F. & A. M., a life member of Walter Hoyt Post #350 American Legion, and Perrysville Fire Department. He had been a member of the Perrysville Lions Club and attended West Liberty Church of Christ.

Russell married Gladys Ilene Dunivan August 9, 1954 at Perrysville and she died November 7, 1994.

He is survived by a son Russell Wayne (Mindy) Bush of Perrysville; two grandchildren, Tiffany Bush and Ryan (Tricia) Bush, four great grandchildren, Tarryn, Keely, Trystan and Brody all of Perrysville and a special friend Carolyn Current of Covington.  Also surviving are four siblings, Irene (Richard) Omundson of Clinton, IN; Orville (Teresa Learnard) Bush of Georgetown, IL; Donna Sue Ellis of Newport, IN; and Raymond (Ruth Ann) Bush of Lodi. Russell was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Michael, six brothers; Charles, Morris, John, Bill, Robert and Richard; two sisters, Martha and Mary (Lute).

Russell was an avid Cubs fan. He loved to watch Wrestling, sitting on the porch visiting with friends and riding around town on his golf cart. He loved going to the Covered Bridge on Sundays to have dinner with several family members. He enjoyed being a Boy Scout Leader and coaching many little league teams. Russell's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
