Roberta Joyce Tabor, 76, of Citrus Springs, FL, formerly of Covington, IN passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at her home. She was born in Warren County, IN on May 29, 1938 to Oliver R. and Roberta L. (Moudy) Moorhous. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Kenneth R. Lewsader and a brother Thomas O. Moorhous.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 41 years, Merle Donald Tabor, Citrus Springs; son Curtis T. Lewsader (Ann), Leesburg, GA; daughter Roberta Lynn Lewsader, Naples, FL; five grandchildren: W. Bradley Lewsader (Leslie), Covington, IN; Justin K. Lewsader (Heather), Veedersburg, IN; Nathan O. Lewsader, Greensboro, NC; Robert E. Saucier and Michelle L. Saucier, both of Citrus Springs; four great grandchildren: Bradley, Kayley, Keeley and Kendrix; daughter-in-law Jamie Winters (Scott), Danville, IL; sister Patricia A. Clem (Bill), Covington, IN; nieces, Kathy Clem, Covington, IN and Christy Walters (Craig) and nephew Jeff Clem (Nora), both of Williamsport, IN; sister-in-law Barbara Pastrikos, Danville, IL and special friends Gretchen Chambers, Linda Rayburn, and Alice Galloway.
Joyce was a 1956 graduate of Covington High School. Joyce moved to Citrus Springs in 2006 from Naples, FL. She was employed at Danville Community College, Danville, IL for 9 years, then moved to Tulsa, OK as head bookkeeper at Victory Christian Center. Mrs. Tabor graduated from Victory Bible Institute and moved to Jackson, MS as church administrator before moving to Naples, FL, where she was active in church and real estate for 20 years.
