Covington Pauline E. Snider, 87 died at 7:52 p. m. Thursday June 21, 2012 at Provena USMC following a short illness. She was born October 21, 1924 in Covington the daughter of Robert Earl and Mabel Ruth (Jackson) Kenny.
She was a life resident of Covington, a 1943 graduate of Covington High School and a housewife. Pauline married Ogle Snider September 5, 1953 at the Covington First Baptist Church, where she has been a member her lifetime.
She is survived by her husband, a brother Jack (Joan) Kenny of Decatur, IL; two sisters, Nancy (Ray) McDaniel and Gretchen (Lloyd) Chambers, both of Covington, many nieces and nephews; also including Pastor Gregg & Marilyn Curtis and their children, Joy, (Mike) Olin, David (Kelly) Curtis, and Lee (Nicole) Curtis, who were embraced as family. Her parents, 3 brothers, Robert, John and Charles Kenny, 3 sisters, Marie Allison, Marlis Davan, and Mildred Woodrow preceded her in death.
Funeral services are arranged by Shelby Funeral Home for 2:00 p. m. Tuesday June 26, 2012 at First Baptist Church with Pastors Gregg Curtis and Joe Humrichous officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p. m. Monday at First Baptist Church. Memorials requested to First Baptist Church.
