Nancy Sue McDaniel

Nancy Sue Kenny McDaniel, 81, of Covington went to be with her Lord Saturday April 22, 2017 at Parkview Healthcare, Attica. She was born August 21, 1935 in Covington the daughter of Robert and Mabel “Jackson” Kenny.

Nancy was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Covington, where she taught Sunday School, Awana and Ladies Bible Study. She was a lifelong resident of Covington and a 1953 graduate of Covington High School. She married Ray “Wimpy” McDaniel November 1, 1953.

She was a loving mother to Beth (Warren) Allen, Brenda (Bruce) Ford, Timothy (Tami) McDaniel and Tom Laverly, a brother Jack Kenny, and a sister Gretchen (Lloyd) Chambers.  She had twelve grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one on the way.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray “Wimpy” McDaniel, a son Bruce McDaniel, three brothers, Bob, Charlie & John Kenny, four sisters Marie Allison, Marlis Davan, Millie Woodrow and Pauline Snider.

Funeral services will be Friday April 28, 2017 at 5:00 P. M. EDT at the Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Warren Allen officiating. Visitation will be from 3:30 P.
