Michael Bruce Whitfield

Michael Bruce Whitfield, 31, of Covington died unexpectedly Saturday August 8, 2020 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville. He was born May 30, 1989 at Cincinnati, OH the son of Bruce and Pamela (Newkirk) Whitfield.

Mike was a life resident of Covington and graduated from Covington High School in 2008. He was a carpenter employed by Bowling Properties.

He is survived by his parents, Bruce & Pam Whitfield, a brother Matthew (Bradi) Whitfield, niece Locklin, grandmother Ruth Newkirk, all of Covington; grandparents Willie & Shelby Whitfield of Wilmington, NC. His grandfather Harold Newkirk and cousin Josh Newkirk preceded him in death.

Funeral services 11:00 A. M. Friday August 14, 2020 at First Assembly of God with Pastor Robert Fairchild officiating. Burial in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation 4:00 to 7:00 P. M.
