Marsha Dale Manley

April 4, 1945 — December 9, 2020

Marsha Dale Manley, 75, of Valparaiso, IN died at 11:37 A. M. Wednesday December 9, 2020 at Indiana University Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.  She was born April 4, 1945 at Danville, IL the daughter of William Dale and Vivian Marie (nee Marshall) Hughes.

Marsha graduated from Danville High School and St. Luke’s School of Nursing in St, Louis, MO.  She was a RN at Greencastle, IN, Lakeview Hospital, Danville, IL and IU Hospital in Indianapolis, when she retired.  She was a longtime member of Coal Branch Church.  She was a former resident of Danville, IL, Greencastle, IN, Covington, IN, and Westfield, IN.  In recent years she had lived with her children and spent the winter in Ft. Myers, FL.

Marsha married Lynn Manley and they later divorced.  She is survived by a son Timothy (wife Kelley) Manley of Valparaiso, IN; a daughter Kristen Johnson of Westfield, IN; former husband Lynn Manley and wife Cheryl of Martinsville, IN; three grandchildren, Timothy “Tad” Johnson, Katrina “Kat” Manley, and Taylor Johnson.  Her parents preceded her in death.

Graveside services at 2:00 P. M. Saturday December 12, 2020 in Hopewell Cemetery, Covington with Pastor Tracy Taulman officiating.  Due to Covid-19 and the state mandate everyone attending shall wear masks and observe social distancing.   Memorials requested to Coal Branch Church, P O Box 433, Perrysville, IN 47974, or American Epilepsy Society, 135 South LaSalle Street, Suite 2850, Chicago, IL 60603.  Shelby Funeral Home is assisting the family.  Condolences to the family: www.shelbyfuneralhome.com .
