Marisa Colleen Goley

Marisa Colleen Goley, 60, of Covington died Friday July 16, 2021 at her home, having been ill eight days.  She was born March 3, 1961 at Danville, IL the daughter of Charles and Patricia (Townsend) Lape.

Marisa attended Seeger High School and got her GED.  She moved from West Lebanon to Covington in 1981.  She was employed a Mike’s Colonial Parkway, Covington IGA, and was a teacher at Covington Pre-School for twelve years. Marisa loved her grandchildren so much and loved spending time with them. She loved to travel and loved her family, her friends and her community. She recently had her own shop, Marisa’s Farmhouse Candles, which she greatly enjoyed.  She always had a big smile and was kind to everyone.

Marisa married Stephen R Goley May 14, 1981 at Covington and he survives.  Also surviving are three children, Ashley (Ben) Porter of Speedway, IN; Stephen (Alyshia) Goley, of Oxford, IN; and Kelsey Goley of Covington; two sisters, Deanna (Jason) Williams of Covington; Shona (Pyott) Callahan of Veedersburg; special niece, Ashlyn Williams; four grandchildren, Noah Porter, Emma Goley, Stella Goley, and Thomas Goley.  Her parents preceded her in death. Please bring your masks with you, as they will be required for everyone attending.
