Marian L. DuPriest, 84 of Danville went to be with her Lord and Savior at 8:00 a. m. Sunday June 5, 2011 in Provena USMC, Danville. She moved to Danville from Covington in 2005 and previously resided at Gessie and Alvin. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church.
Because she enjoyed reading, memorials may be made to Covington Public Library with envelopes available at Shelby Funeral Home.
Marian was born June 5, 1927 at Lapel, IN to Frank and Nova (Bennett) Ault. She is survived by three wonderful children, Ray (Mary) Lytle of Wellington, IL; Larry (Becky) Lytle of Hollister, MO; and Marla (Dennis) Smith of Normal, IL; 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren, a brother Robert (Mary Lou) Ault of Hoopeston, IL; 2 sisters, Joyce Bookwalter of Wellington, IL, and Roberta Pennington of Hoopeston, IL. Her parents, a brother Russell, 3 sisters, Ruthann Handley, Betty Gillis, and Frances Hasbargen, a daughter Donna Allison Potter, a son-in-law Daniel Allison, a granddaughter Tina Smith, 2 brother-in-laws, Fred Hasbargen and Martin Bookwalter, a sister-in-law Sarah Ann Ault preceded her in death.
Services will be Tuesday June 7, 2011 at 2:00 p. m. EDT at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington with Pastor Curtis Darling officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Condolences may be sent to the family at: www.shelbyfuneralhome.com.
