Lela Mae Fowler

Lela Mae Fowler, 90, of State Line, IN died at 10:49 A. M. Saturday December 11, 2021 at Autumn Trace in Attica, IN. where she had resided for two years.  She was born February 11,1931 at Henning, IL the daughter of Walter Edward and Lela Blanche (Fairchild) Ricketts.

Lela graduated from Henning High School, Lakeview School of Nursing, and was a Nurse at Lakeview Hospital for many years. They moved to State Line, IN. in 1955.  She was a member of the Rock Church, Danville, IL.  She was the office manager for Don Fowler Electric for many years, enjoyed her family and grandchildren.

Lela married Donald Lee Fowler December 26, 1950 and he died January 2,2009.  Surviving are three children, Donald Eugene (Louann) Fowler of Covington; Bradley Kevin (Kathy) Fowler of Buford, GA; Sharon Kay (Greg) Walsh of Orange Park, FL; eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a grandson.
