Jeffrey Dale Lawrence

Jeffrey Dale Lawrence, 62, of Lafayette, IN, passed away unexpectedly in Covington, IN Saturday, September 4, 2021 from respiratory failure.  He was born in Marion, IN on November 25, 1958 to James Richard and Betty Lois (Carnes) Lawrence.

Jeff was a 1977 graduate of Covington High School.  After graduation, he joined the Air Force and served his country for just over three years.

Jeff was working for Prime Body and Paint in Lafayette, IN and loved every minute of it.  He thought of his co-workers as his “Family”.  Jeff also worked for Gerber Collison and Glass, Twin City Collison and Marsh Supermarket, all located in Lafayette, IN and was a driver for Keystone in Indianapolis.

Jeff had one son, Casey Lawrence from a previous marriage to Janet Buck of Covington, IN.

He is survived by his son Casey of Fort Worth, TX, a brother Rick Lawrence of Danville, IL, his cousins from Marion, IN and a special friend, Patty Lyons of Covington, IN.  Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles.

Because of the pandemic, the family has decided to have only a private graveside service in Mount Hope Cemetery, Covington.

In lieu of flowers, donations to help with the funeral expenses, would be appreciated.
