Iona Jean Lister

Iona J. Lister, 80, of Portland Arch died at 10:00 p. m. Thursday December 20, 2018 at Ben Hur Nursing Home, Crawfordsville. She was born April 9, 1938 at Cates, IN the daughter of Harold Otis and Opal Marie (McLain) Swim.

She attended Perrysville Schools, was a life resident of the Covington area, and moved to Portland Arch in 2002. She was a member of Orchard Hills Church of Christ.  She was a homemaker and had been employed at GE in Danville and RMC in Attica.

Iona married Walter Lister July 15, 1961 at Danville, IL and he died April 20, 2017. Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl (Larry) Lyon of Scottsburg, IN and Karen Ann (James) Chapman of Attica, IN, two grandsons, Brent Durnil and Mark Lyon.  Her parents a brother, Carl Swim and a great grandson Carter W. Lyon preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P. M. Sunday December 23, 2018 at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington with Pastor Jonah Stults officiating. Burial in Lower Mound Cemetery.  Visitation will be 1:00 P. M. until time of services at 3:00 P.
