Harold Eugene Zeigler, 79 of Covington died at 4:30 p. m. Tuesday February 15, 2011 at the home of his son following a short illness with brain cancer. He was born December 8, 1931 north of Covington the son of Glenn A. and Ruth Marie Hershberger Zeigler.
He was a life resident of Covington, attended Covington Schools, and served in the Marine Corp. He farmed all of his life and was employed at Harrison Steel Castings 40 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the First Church of Christ.
Harold married Juanita Marie Copsy February 1, 1958 at Covington Baptist Church and she died January 23, 1993. Surviving are 2 daughters, Susan Cook of Champaign and Ann Mosesso of Covington, a son Brian (Tina) Zeigler of Covington, 5 grandchildren, Tabitha and Alex Zeigler, Daniel Cook, Matt and Mark Mosesso, 2 great granddaughters, Hadlee, and Halen Zeigler. His parents a sister and a brother preceded him in death.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p. m. Friday at First Church of Christ, 615 Fifth Street, Covington. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a. m. Saturday February 19, 2011 at the church with Pastor Bill Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. hope Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion.
