Harlan Lee Johnson, 67 of Covington died at 7:54 p. m. Sunday November 25, 2012 at his home. He was born March 24, 1945 at Danville, IL the son of Lloyd and Olive (Goodner) Johnson.
Harlan lived at Kingman while growing up and was a 1963 graduate of Kingman High School. He served in the Navy 1965 to 1969. He resided in Danville for many years and was a repairman at Illinois Bell Telephone, retiring in 1996. He moved to Covington in 2006.
Surviving is a sister Sue Ann Martin of Sun City Center, FL; several nieces, nephews and cousins. His parents, a sister and a brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be Thursday November 29, 2012 at 11:00 a. m. at Shelby Funeral Home with Paul Kent officiating. Calling will be one hour before services. Burial will follow in Danville National Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #210. Condolences to the family: www.shelbyfuneralhome.com.
