Garvin Leon Davis, 67 of Danville passed away at 3:26 A.M. Tuesday November 28, 2017 at home. Leon was born and raised in Albany, Ky. Before moving to Hoopeston, IL.
He was a graduate of Hoopeston High School and worked at Silgan Containers from 1974 until he retired in June of 2010.
Leon is survived by his wife of 33 years Catherine E. (Krabbe) Davis. Son Lonnie (Nichole) Davis, daughters; Shelly (Stan) Snyder and LeAnne (Randy) Stebbens all of Hoopeston. Also a daughter Tina Harris of Arkansas and son A.J. (Gretchen) Casey of Tuscola, IL. Two sisters Betty Jean Davis of Hoopeston and Jeanette Johnson of Greenfield, IN. numerous grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Michael Casey, mother and step-father Hazel and Thomas Butler and father Garvin Davis,and a special brother-in-law Norman Johnson.
As per his wishes he will be cremated with burial at a later date. Shelby Funeral Home of Covington, IN. is entrusted with final care.
