Florence B. Fultz, 84, of Covington died at 12:21 P. M. Saturday August 1, 2020 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL. She was born October 6, 1935 in Parke County, IN the daughter of Raymond and Lela (Pitzer) McFadden.
Florence was a graduate of Marshall High School. She married John Everett Fultz May 28, 1953. They resided in the Kingman area until moving to Covington in 1964. John died June 23, 1997. She was employed at Teepak twenty-seven years, retiring in 1998.
She was a member of Covington First Church of Christ, Friendship Circle, Kingman and Veedersburg Senior Citizens. Florence enjoyed college basketball, especially I. U.
Surviving is a daughter Janet Ricketts, husband Ralph, Veedersburg; a sister Mary Jane Scering, Crawfordsville; Three grandchildren, Anjanette Fluharty, SC; Ryan (Charity) Meihls, GA; Davy Meihls, Waynetown; ; two step grandchildren, Tina (Roger) Holmes, Covington; Brandon (Kallay) Ricketts, Covington. Also surviving are fourteen great grandchildren, Cierra, Steven, and Alex (Ashleigh) Fluharty, Connor, Cory, and Allison Meihls, Preston, Gavin, and Myah Meihls, Ali and Eli Holmes, Grady, Wrenli, and Ivy Ricketts; four great-great grandchildren, Amber, Autumn, Russell and Atticus. Carson on the way in November, several nieces, and nephews; dear friends, Linda Claypool and Misty Davis. Her parents and four sisters, Ruth Budd, Mary Frances Long, Ethel Deck, and Irene Morrow preceded her in death. Many thanks to Dr. Sodhi and his staff for her care.
Funeral services 1:00 P. M. EDT Thursday August 6, 2020 at Shelby Funeral Home with Pastor James McMillan officiating. Burial in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation 11:00 A. M. until the time of services at 1:00 P. M. Due to Covid-19 social distancing recommended and masks required.
