Emma Louise Doyle

Emma Louise Doyle, 94 of Covington died at 7:28 p. m. Thursday December 30, 2010 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. She was born September 4, 1916 in Stoddard County, MO the daughter of David Albert and Carrie Irene (Day) Young.
Louise was a 1934 graduate of Covington High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed bowling. She resided at Perrysville 1935 to 1980, then moved to Washington, IN and returned to Covington in 2001. Louise was a member of Benson Chapel United Methodist Church.
Louise married George A. Richardson March 23, 1935 at Perrysville. He died April 16, 1976. She married Thomas Earl Doyle May 10, 1980 at Washington, IN. He died January 13, 2001. Surviving are three sons, Floyd A. (Mary) Richardson of Covington, Charles Chuck Richardson of Tilton, IL, and Philip G. (Lois) Richardson of Fairmount, IL; 6 step children, Charles (Mary Ann) Doyle, Vincent Doyle, Lewis (Sue Ann) Doyle, Thomas Doyle, all of Washington, IN, Mariam Knese of Dayton, OH, and Jean (Richard) Sorenson of Olney, IL. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 12 great great-grandchildren, 23 step grandchildren, and many step great grandchildren. Her parents, 3 brothers, a grandson, and 3 great grandchildren preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a. m. EST Monday January 3, 2011 at Shelby Funeral Home with Rev. Brenda Burnworth officiating. Burial will follow in Lower Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 to 6:00 p. m. Sunday at Shelby Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Benson Chapel United Methodist with envelopes available at the funeral home.
