Dorothy Louise Williams, 89, of Covington died at 2:25 A. M. Saturday March 21, 2015 at the Waters of Covington, where she had resided two years.
She was born November 24, 1925 at Gessie, IN the daughter of David Arthur and Lula Mae (Newkirk) Moudy.
She resided in Covington area all of her life and attended the former Butter Nut School. She played base in Covington Dropouts Band. She and her husband started the Covington 4th of July Celebration and managed it for several years. She was active in Covington Civil Defense. She and Willard received the Covington Living Legacy Community Service Award in 2005. Her memberships include; American Legion Auxiliary, and VFW Auxiliary.
Dorothy married Willard G. Williams April 21, 1946 at Covington and he died February 7, 2013.
Surviving are four children, Jerry (Carolyn) Williams of Cayuga; Brenda (Claude) Everson of Covington; Charlotte Martin of Westville, IL; and David (Kathy) Williams of Covington; nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, and fifteen step great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Her parents and daughter Connie Stout preceded her in death.
