Dorothy R. Foster, 99, died at Parkway Manor in Marion, IL, where she had resided for five years. She was born July 10, 1920 at Covington, IN the daughter of Finnie H. and Inez I. (Mettie) Stucker.
Dorothy attended Covington Schools and resided at Covington and Veedersburg until retiring. After retiring she and Kenneth moved to Florida, later moving to Texas with son, and moving to Illinois with son.
Dorothy served as manager of the Veedersburg License Branch, Treasurer of Fountain County, Recorder of Fountain County
Dorothy married James Hughes November 7, 1937 and he died in 1962. She married Kenneth R. Foster November 15, 1968 and he died March 2, 2008. Surviving are three sons, Larry L (Dixie) Hughes of Marion, IL;, James R (Barbara) Hughes, Jr. of Harrison, AR, and Dennis R (Wannetta)) Hughes of Harrissonburg, VA. Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren. Her parents and son Donald Earl Hughes preceded her in death.
The family thanks the Parkway Manor for their care of Dorothy as they went overboard to make her comfortable.
