Donald Lee Crowder, 70, of Honolulu, HI died Saturday August 20, 2016 at his home following an extended illness. He was born October 6, 1945 at Danville, IL the son of the late Everett Lee and June Elizabeth (Sherman) Crowder.

Don was a life resident of Covington and a 1964 graduate of Covington High School. He moved to Honolulu in 2012. He was a mechanic all of his life, having worked for Bilsland Implement Company several years, Fountain County Highway, and then had his own garage. Don was founder of Crowders Huli Huli Roast Pork. He was superintendent of Covington City Park for eight years retiring in 2007. He was a Vietnam Navy veteran, a member of VFW Post # 2395, and Fountain Lodge # 60 F. & A. M.

Don married Camilla Baquering May 13, 1967 at Honolulu, HI and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Donald Donny (Robin Clark) Crowder, Charles (Robyn) Crowder; a sister Sandra Kay Sandy Crowder; four grandchildren, Noa, Micah, Lilly, Blayden and his mother Sally Crowder, all of Honolulu.
The family will receive friends 4:00 to 7:00 P. M. Tuesday October 11, 2016 at Shelby Funeral Home with Masonic services at 7:00 P. M. Tuesday. Memorial services 11:00 A. M. Wednesday October 12, 2016 at Shelby Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Fairchild officiating. Inurnment in Coal Creek Cemetery with military honors by the Veedersburg American Legion Post # 288.
