Delores Hollowell

Delores Hollowell, 89, died Friday September 11, 2020 at the Waters of Covington. She was born December 4, 1930 at Danville, IL the daughter of Harold Emory and Janeice (Keller) Cooper.

Delores was a homemaker, a life resident of the Covington area and a 1949 graduate of Perrysville High School. She enjoyed her family, dancing and making people laugh.

Delores married Daryl Eugene Hollowell May 21, 1949 and he died on their sixtieth anniversary May 21, 2009. Surviving are a daughter Debra Nickle and husband John of Newport, two sons, David and Dwight Hollowell both of Covington; five grandchildren, Thomas Hollowell, Terry Hollowell, Amanda Delp, Lacy Pasquale, and Brittany Hollowell; and seven great grandchildren. Her parents, brother Harold “Bud” Cooper, a sister Wanda Richardson, and grandson Braeden preceded her in death.

Cremation was requested by Delores and due to the Covid-19 virus a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Shelby Funeral Home is assisting the family. Condolences to the family: www.shelbyfuneralhome.com .
