Constance Connie Mae Coffman, 94, of Crawfordsville died at 7:42 A. M. Saturday September 13, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital East in Lafayette.
Connie was born April 10, 1920 in Covington the daughter of William Sherman and Lennie Leon (Holycross) Smail.
Connie graduated from Covington School in 1938. She was a telephone operator in Covington. Connie and her sister sang a duet in the area and appeared on the National Barn Dance. She was employed at J C Penney in Crawfordsville for several years.
Connie married Don Coffman December 19, 1943 in Covington and he died February 21, 1993. Surviving is a son Scott Coffman of Lafayette; a grandson Dustin Cronk of Delphi, IN; 2 brothers, William L. Smail and Sherman Eugene Lennie Smail, both of Covington, IN; a sister, Anita Kronst of Bourbonnais, IL. Her parents and 2 sisters preceded her in death.
