Charles Arthur Boggs II

Charles Arthur “Chuck” Boggs II, 89, of Veedersburg, IN died Sunday morning May 17, 2020 at home.  He was born January 15, 1931 at Veedersburg the son of the late Charles Arthur and Mary (Holycross) Boggs.

Chuck was a life resident of Veedersburg, a 1949 graduate of Veedersburg High School, a member of Sterling Christian Church, and Veedersburg Masonic Lodge #491.  He enjoyed his automobiles, auto racing, antiques, and flea markets.

Charles married Phyllis Rogers July 23, 1949 and she died March 9, 1998.  He married Myrna Allen December 26, 1998 and she survives.  Also surviving are four children, Gale (Larry) Nixon of Veedersburg; Debbie (Bryan) Allen of Farmington Hills, MI; Gary Boggs of Wixom, MI; and Dawn Bonebrake of West Lafayette; four grandchildren, Stefanie (Brian) Hodgson, Brynn (Andrew) Stanis, Brett (Jennifer) Nixon, Alyssa (Matt) Nixon; six great grandchildren, Camden, Brady, Sienna, Savanna, Aubrey and Andrew.  Also surviving are a special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sharon and Dennis Lindamood and family; step son Linn (Terri) Allen; step grandchildren, Eric (Jessica) Allen, Joe (Laura) Allen, Christen (Kristen) Allen, Blake Allen, Nathan Allen, Derrick (Allison) Allen and seven step great grandchildren. Chuck was preceded in death by his son-in-law Steve Bonebrake and step son Bryan Lee Allen.

Private graveside services will be on Wednesday May 20, 2020 in Rockfield Cemetery with Gary Johnson officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shelby Funeral Home.  Condolences to the family: www.shelbyfuneralhome.com .
