Cameron “Camo” Lee McCollum, 24, of Covington, died October 16, 2024 in Danville, IL. Cameron was born the son of Rebecca Lynne Aker and Elmer “Buddy” Lee McCollum and on November 19, 1999.
Attended Covington High School and Camo enjoyed listening to music, running around and fishing. Seldom was he not on his phone playing games and chatting it up. His family will remember him as a fun-loving guy and the life of the party.
Camo is survived by his parents, stepfather, siblings, Jeff Aker, Keyara Webster, Aisha and Roland Hayden , grandparents, Jeff Felgenhauer, Chuck (Jena) McCollum, Bill and Barbara Aker, uncles, Lee (Angelica) Felgenhauer, Joe Felgenhauer, Chad, Justin, Derek and McCollum, aunt, Angela (Robert) Felgenhauer and a host of extended family and friends of all walks of life.
Camo is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Ramona Felgenhauer and Mary McCollum, great-grandparents, Dorothy McCollum, Jack and Violet Felgenhauer, Fred and Dorothy Underwood and great-aunt, Debbie McCollum.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Covington VFW from 1-4pm, October 26, 2024.
