Bobbie Gene Bostwick, 87 of Zionsville, IN died at 5:26 A. M. Saturday July 30, 2016 at Zionsville Meadows. He was born June 20, 1929 at Indianola, IL the son of Simon W. and Mildred Irene (Hires) Bostwick.
Bob was a graduate of Danville High School. He was a Navy veteran and employed at Hyster in Danville 20 years before retiring. He resided in State Line for many years, moving to Lebanon, IN in 1990 and to Zionsville in 2013. He attended the Zionsville Fellowship Church and was a 50 year member of Fountain Lodge # 60 F. & A. M.
Bob married Esther Marie Amos June 30, 1950 at Mishawaka, IN and she survives. Also surviving are four children, Betty Lou Cordes of Champaign, IL; Michael (Pam) Bostwick of Lebanon, OH; Penny Lowe of Lebanon, IN; David (Missy) Bostwick of Indianapolis; two sisters, Shirley Parker of Apache Junction, AZ and Phyllis Voss of Danville, IL; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and a great-great grandson. His parents and two brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P. M. Wednesday August 3, 2016 at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington with Pastor Bob Ash officiating. Burial will be in State Line Masonic Cemetery with military honors by the Navy and Veedersburg American Legion Post #288. Visitation will be 11:00 A. M. Wednesday until the time of services at 1:00 P. M.
