Blanche Almeda Samuels, 94 of Danville died at 11:55 a. m. Wednesday Dec. 8, 2010 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. She was born March 3, 1916 near Kingman the daughter of James Leroy and Frances Edna (Shelton) Clingan.
She attended Kingman Schools, and was a homemaker. She moved to Danville from Cayuga in 1956.
Almeda married Verner Alexander Samuels September 16, 1936. He died November 6, 2001. Surviving is a son Stanley Samuels of Danville, a brother Lee Clingan of Covington and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, a sister, Alberta Holland, 3 brothers, Gordon, Bert and Fred Clingan preceded her in death.
Per her request she will be cremated. Burial will be at 11:00 a. m. Thursday December 16, 2010 in Silver Island Cemetery with Bill Cook officiating. Memorials requested to National Federation of the Blind with envelopes available at Shelby Funeral Home. Condolences sent to www.shelbyfuneralhome.com.
