Beverly Jean Nelk-Peeler, 79, of Covington died at 1:30 P. M. Thursday May 9, 2019 at the Waters of Covington, where she had resided for two years. She was born May 25, 1939 at Danville IL, the daughter of Richard D. and Edith Eleanor (Weidenburner) Cook.
Beverly was a LPN working at hospitals and several nursing homes. She was a life resident of Danville, and attended Danville High School.
Surviving are four children, Julie (Frank) Fitzwater of Covington, Brenda (Darren) Stokes of Veedersburg, Kevin (Kelly) Nelk of Covington, Erica Paris of Danville, IL; a brother Rev. Richard (Patty) Cook of Danville; nine Grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. Her husband James Peeler, parents, and a sister preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. EDT Tuesday May 14, 2019 at Shelby Funeral Home with Rev. James Blue officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Oakwood. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P. M. EDT Monday at Shelby Funeral Home. Condolences to the family: www.shelbyfuneralhome.com
