Beverley M Wichus

Beverly M. Wichus, 93, of Covington died at 4:05 A. M. Wednesday June 21, 2017 at the Waters of Covington. She was born October 21, 1923 at Danville, IL the daughter of Franklin E. and Patience (Harden) Servies.

Beverly was a life resident of Covington, graduating from Covington High School in 1941. She attended Butler University 1943-1945 where she met her husband.  Beverly was a life member of Covington United Methodist Church, a member of the choir over 50 years and directed the boys’ choir.  Her other memberships include Alpha Gamma Chapter of Tri Kappa, Coffenians, Kappa Kappa Gamma at Butler University, Wabashfuls Quartet.  She sang professionally with area bands in Indianapolis.

Beverly married Bert Mason July 10, 1945 in Covington. He died April 29, 1957.  Beverly married John J. Wichus June 6, 1968 at Covington and he died April 17, 2006.

Surviving are two sons, David S. (Brenda) Mason and Jeffrey S. (Beth) Mason, both of Covington; a brother-in-law Richard Crouse; seven grandchildren, Kim (Brandon) Grubb, Kent (Brittani) Mason, Kelly (Jason) Orcutt, Molly Mason, Ally (Bill) McIntire, Shi (Seth) Bacon, Chelsey (Larry) Campbell; and nine great grandchildren.  Her parents, husbands, a sister Ann Crouse and a great grandson preceded her in death.

Funeral Services will be Friday June 23, 2017 at 12:00 P. M. in the Covington United Methodist Church with her nephew Brian Gassaway officiating. Private family burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.  Visitation will be 10:00 A.
