Bernice Julia Kilinski

Bernice J. Kilinski, 97 of Covington, IN, formerly of Griffith, IN passed away at 8:50 p. m. Monday Oct. 11, 2010 in St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital. She was born March 6, 1913 at Indiana Harbor, IN the daughter of the late Lawrence and Frances Karczewski Wegrzyn.
She is survived by a son Lawrence Larry Kilinski, Sr. of Griffith, IN., three grandchildren, Lawrence (Kimberly) Kilinski, Jr. of Newburgh, IN, Kimberly (Timothy) Studniarz of Crown Point, IN., Michael (Lisa) Kilinski of Hawkinsville, GA., eight great-grandchildren: Ryan (fiance Jessica), Chad, Jamie (fiance Doug), Jodi (Chris), Jessica, Stephanie (Chris), Richard and Seth. Also surviving is a great-great granddaughter Grace, numerous nieces and nephews, and a special friend Donnette Lake. Her husband Casey, daughter-in-law Nancy, sisters, Tillie and Helen preceded her in death.
Bernice was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. Bernice will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 p. m. EDT Sunday at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a. m. EDT Monday Oct. 18 at St. Joseph Church with Rev. David Rasner celebrating. Burial will follow at 2:30 p. m. EDT in Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN. Memorials may be given to St. Joseph Building Fund or Friendship Circle Center with envelopes available at the funeral home.
