Beatrice “Bea” Rose O’Brien, 84, of Danville died at 10:30 P. M. Monday January 9, 2017 at home following an extended illness. She was born September 2, 1932 at Fort Wayne, IN the daughter of George C. and Alexa G. (Weber) Jaeger.
Bea was a 1950 graduate of Ft. Wayne Central Catholic High School and Holy Central School of Nursing at St. Mary’s College, South Bend, IN. She was an RN at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis, St. Elizabeth Hospital and Lake View Hospital in Danville.
Bea married Robert L. O’Brien June 26, 1954 in Muncie, IN and he survives. Also surviving are five children, Terry O’Brien of Atlanta, GA; Vincent (Mary) O’Brien, and Jeffrey (Debra) O’Brien, both of Danville, IL; Julie (Rick) Welch of Peoria, IL; and Lucy (Eric) McKinnon of Wadsworth, IL; two brothers, Robert A Jaeger of Prince Frederick, MD and Carl (Sue) Jaeger of Holland, MI; thirteen grandchildren; two step grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Her parents, a sister and two grandsons preceded her in death.
Funeral Mass will be Saturday January 14, 2017 at 10:30 A. M. CST at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Ted Pracz officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
