Ann Elizabeth Crouse

June 28, 1929 — November 8, 2015

Ann E. (Servies) Crouse, 86, of Covington passed away at 12:00 A. M. Sunday November 8, 2015 at the Waters of Covington, having been a resident two years.

She was born June 28, 1929 at Danville IL the daughter of the late Franklin E. and Patience (Harden) Servies.

Ann was a resident of Covington most of her life, except thirteen years she lived at North Ft. Myers, FL. She was a 1947 graduate of Covington High School and a member of Covington United Methodist Church. Her other memberships were Coffeenians and Tri Kappa. She was secretary of Mount Hope Cemetery for many years and retired from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in 1995. She was a co-owner of Crouse Orchards south of Covington and Crouse Exterminating in Ft. Myers, FL.

Ann married Richard E. Crouse on June 9, 1950at the Covington United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Richard, a daughter Jayne (Lonnie) Gawthorp of Veedersburg, a son Thomas Richard Crouse of Covington and a sister Beverley Wichus of Covington, two grandsons, Andrew (Miranda) Gassaway and Brian (Kayla) Gassaway, and three great granddaughters, Mackenzie, Tenley, and Lexi Gassaway.

Funeral services will be Wednesday November 11, 2015 at 11:00 A. M. at Covington United Methodist Church with her grandson Brian Gassaway officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 P. M. Tuesday at Shelby Funeral Home. Memorials requested to Mount Hope Cemetery with envelopes available.
